The change along the northbound section of the connector road takes effect at 5 p.m. Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the conversion, the County Highway Department widened the quarter-mile stretch of Ellison Road to include a center turn lane.<\/p>\n<p>The timing of the switch coincides with the Indiana Department of Transportation&#8217;s widening of US 24 east.
