News release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department:<\/p>\n

One Dead in Head On Crash<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On 09\/29\/2012 at approximately 6:00 AM the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 2 vehicle crash on Bluffton Road just south of Ferguson Road. According to witnesses, a blue Jeep was traveling south on Bluffton Road when it crossed the center line striking a yellow VW Beetle traveling north. The head on collision caused the VW to spin into the ditch while the Jeep overturned in the middle of the roadway. The female driver of the VW was pronounced dead on scene while the male driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. This crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. <\/p>\n

Bluffton Road will be closed in both directions south of Ferguson Road for several hours. Motorists are advised to take an alternative route.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
