So, for the 6th straight year, PETA has ranked the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks in the minor leagues, and for the first time, Parkview Field, home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps, has grabbed sixth place in the minors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Parkview Field might host the minor leagues, but when it comes to the delicious health-, Earth-, and animal-friendly food offered at its concession stands, it&#8217;s a major league player all the way,&#8221; says PETA Associate Director Chris Holbein. &#8220;Even before the first pitch is thrown out, the TinCaps are a big winner in our book.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Leading off the lineup at Parkview Field are the black-bean burger, veggie burrito, and vegetable wraps. Batting cleanup are the nutritious fresh fruit, hummus and veggies, grilled vegetables, and standby salads.<\/p>\n<p>Coming in first is Hammond Stadium, home of Florida&#8217;s Fort Myers Miracle. Its specialties include vegan cheeseburgers and veggie tacos. Rounding out the top five minor league ballparks are the Rochester Red Wings&#8217; Frontier Field, the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, the Wilmington Blue Rocks&#8217; Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, and the Tulsa Drillers&#8217; ONEOK Field. Finishing in first place in the major leagues is the Philadelphia Phillies&#8217; Citizens Bank Park, whose BBQ veggie &#8220;Pit Beef,&#8221; vegan chicken-steak, and faux-chicken patty sandwich put the Phils over the top for the fifth time in the past six years.<\/p>\n<p>Each major and minor league team to make the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks list will receive a framed certificate from PETA.
