Participants will meet at Rockhill Park, 1400 Catalpa St., just east of the intersection of W. Jefferson Boulevard and Freeman Street for the 8-mile ride.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday&#8217;s ride is being sponsored by Visit Fort Wayne, www.visitfortwayne.com.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re thrilled that local businesses are stepping up to become sponsors of a weekly event that promotes healthy communities,&#8221; Mayor Tom Henry said. &#8220;We&#8217;re pleased to be able to offer events that bring family and friends together, as they enjoy one of the finest trail systems in the Midwest.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The City is hosting its third season of Trek the Trails &#8211; a popular series of free, guided community bike rides along 68 miles of trail network.  Trek the Trails &#8212; which runs from May through September &#8212; features a series of 22 Tuesday evening rides, four Saturday rides and a stargazing bike ride in October. <\/p>\n<p>A complete list of the scheduled rides is below.<\/p>\n<p>Participating cyclists are asked to meet at the start of the 6 p.m. rides no later than 5:45 p.m. and are required to wear helmets. <\/p>\n<p>If there is unsafe weather &#8212; such as heavy rain, lightning or extreme heat &#8212; the ride will be cancelled.  A cancellation notice will be posted at <span class=\"removed_link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/main\/index.php\/weblinksmenu\/68-government\/562-rivergreenway.html\">www.FortWayneParks.org<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The City is looking for additional sponsors. Meet at Lawton Park, in the gravel parking lot on the south side of Fourth Street &#8211; near 250 E. Fourth Street. Ride is 8 miles.[\/li]<br \/>\n[li]July 31, 2012 &#8211; Rivergreenway.
