{"id":32858,"date":"2012-06-24T13:44:21","date_gmt":"2012-06-24T17:44:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/?p=32858"},"modified":"2012-06-24T13:44:21","modified_gmt":"2012-06-24T17:44:21","slug":"fwpd-shooting-investigation-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/2012\/06\/24\/fwpd-shooting-investigation-4\/","title":{"rendered":"FWPD: Shooting Investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/icons\/FWPD_logo.gif\" alt=\"Fort Wayne Police Department \" \/><\/p>\n<p>News release from the FWPD, sent yesterday at 10:12 pm:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Shooting Investigation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Date\/Time of Incident<\/strong>: June 23rd, 2012 at 9:00 P.M.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location of Incident<\/strong>: Corner of South Hanna Street and East Leith Street<\/p>\n<p><strong>Victim<\/strong>: Male Adult<\/p>\n<p><strong>Details<\/strong>: On Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 at approximately 9:00 p.m. officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the area of South Hanna Street and East Leith Street in reference to a shooting investigation.<\/p>\n<p>As Officers and Paramedics arrived on the scene, they located a male adult victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics provided medical attention to the victim before transporting him to a local hospital in serious condition.<\/p>\n<p>A Fort Wayne Police Officer was conducting a traffic stop at the corner of South Hanna Street and East Leith Street on a moped. During the traffic stop, a brief foot pursuit took place and shots were fired. The male adult fleeing from the moped suffered a gunshot wound.
