Mad Ants Win Season Finale Over Dakota<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
(April 7, 2012) – In a game that ended in a scramble until the final buzzer sounded, the Mad Ants defeated the Dakota Wizards 99-98 in the final game of the regular season. <\/p>\n
The first period saw 8 ties in a back and forth battle that ended tied up at 28 apiece. The lead changed 6 times in the second period as well, but the Mad Ants held a slight 2 points lead, 52-50, going into the locker rooms at the half. Stefhon Hannah had 15 first half points for the Wizards. <\/p>\n
The Mad Ants maintained the lead throughout the third period and held on to a 6 point lead going into the final period of the game. The Wizards started the fourth period with 9-2 run to steal the lead and would eventually go up by 5 points with 5:00 left in the game. The final five minutes of the game was an all out battle and was tied up at 96 with just :30 left. Charles Garcia and Darnell Lazare hit some clutch free throws in the final seconds to seal the win for the Mad Ants. <\/p>\n
Hannah led all scorers with 22 points for the Wizards. Marcus Dove finished with 20 points and Leo Lyons added 15 off of the bench. <\/p>\n
The Mad Ants were led by Ron Howard who finished with 21 points. Garcia and Cameron Jones contributed off the bench with 18 and 15 respectively. <\/p>\n
