February-March Programs at Trinity Episcopal Church, Fort Wayne<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
(February 12, 2012) – Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 West Berry, Fort Wayne, has announced its schedule for Adult Forums, Ash Wednesday and Lent as well as its monthly labyrinth walks.<\/p>\n
Adult Forums, beginning immediately after the 10 a.m. service, through the end of March, are:<\/p>\n
February 19<\/strong>–Dr. Judd Case, Chair, Department of Communication Studies, Manchester College; Topic: “Mitt Romney, Mormonism, and the 2012 Election”<\/p>\nFebruary 26<\/strong>–Andy Frasier, Trinity Episcopal Church; Topic: “From Comics to Sequential Art: Will Eisner’s A Contract with God”<\/p>\nMarch 4<\/strong>–Paul Greve, Trinity Episcopal Church; Topic: “Hells Bells: Who is Saved? Reflections on Rob Bell’s Love Wins<\/p>\nMarch 11<\/strong>–Dr. Esperanca Camera, Associate Professor of Art History & Program Director for Graduate Studies, University of Saint Francis; Topic: The Cross of Christ: Image of Triumph – Image of Pain<\/p>\nMarch 18<\/strong>–Lori Keys, Executive Director, Fort Wayne Trails, Inc.; Topic: “Progress of the Walking and Bike Trails in Fort Wayne”<\/p>\nMarch 25<\/strong>–Dr. Steven Crain, Trinity Episcopal Church; Topic: “The Quest for Unity in the Body of Christ: Ecumenical Reflections Inspired by the Apostle Paul.”<\/p>\nOn February 25 at 10 a.m., Dr. Crain will facilitate a labyrinth walk with the theme “Following Jesus on the Journey into Forgiveness”. The walk will invite participants to explore the meaning of forgiveness in the concrete details of our life journey with Jesus and with one another. March 17 at 10:00 a.m., Nancy McCammon-Hansen will facilitate a walk on “Celtic Spirituality”.<\/p>\n
Ash Wednesday services on February 22 at Trinity will be at 12:15 p.m. and 6 p.m. Both services will offer imposition of ashes. Following the 6 p.m. service, a soup and sandwich supper will be served.<\/p>\n
Trinity’s Lenten study series is entitled “Living into the Covenant”. Each Wednesday evening during Lent, following a 6 p.m. service, a soup supper will be served in the church parish hall with a study immediately following. The series, taught by Trinity’s rector, The Rev. Dr. Thomas P. Hansen, and Dr. Crain, is designed around the Episcopal Church’s Baptismal Covenant.<\/p>\n
March 11th is the annual Chili Cook-off<\/p>\n
