{"id":3199,"date":"2009-03-03T11:12:32","date_gmt":"2009-03-03T16:12:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/?p=3199"},"modified":"2020-12-06T10:38:17","modified_gmt":"2020-12-06T15:38:17","slug":"remaining-drop-off-sites-for-ice-storm-clean-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/2009\/03\/03\/remaining-drop-off-sites-for-ice-storm-clean-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Remaining drop-off sites for ice storm clean-up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/icons\/tFWseal.jpg\" alt=\"City of Fort Wayne Seal\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Press Release from the City:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[&#8230;] Starting Tuesday, residents can take limbs to the two nearest drop-off sites: McMillen Park or National Serv-All&#8217;s compost site, which is waiving its drop-off fees.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Limbs at the parking lot behind the Foellinger Outdoor Theater adjacent to Franke Park have been ground into a coarse mulch and available for free to the public during park hours of 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Residents are responsible for loading and hauling the mulch.<\/p>\n<p>City crews and contractors are using the City&#8217;s sites to drop off the limbs and brush collected from neighborhoods. As the neighborhoods surrounding the drop-off sites are cleared, the City is closing the site and finishing grinding the branches into mulch.<\/p>\n<p>The City is continuing to work through the remaining tree sectors. The final sections are now being collected and depending on weather, the entire city should be complete in mid-March. The City is only doing one collect<\/p>\n<p>The remaining locations are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shoaff Park by Conklin Pavilion (Christmas tree drop-off site) during park hours<\/li>\n<li>McMillen Park in pool parking lot (Christmas tree drop-off site) during park hours<\/li>\n<li>Foellinger Theater \/ Lincolndale lot in Franke Park &#8211; back parking lot southwest corner (Christmas tree drop-off site) during park hours<\/li>\n<li>Biosolids Compost Facility, 6210 Lake Ave., 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, branch drop-off fees waived<\/li>\n<li>National Serv-all Compost Site, 6231 MacBeth Road, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, branch drop-off fees waived<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0For an updated map of the drop-off sites, click here.The City is continuing to collect tree limbs and branches left curbside.
