Job Seekers Respond to TinCaps Job Fair<\/strong>
\nOver 2,000 applicants respond to Parkview Field’s inaugural season employment opportunities<\/em><\/p>\n

Well over 2,000 job seekers filed into the Grand Wayne Center Saturday to learn more about the Fort Wayne TinCaps and the part-time and seasonal positions available at Parkview Field. The applicant line started to form outside the Calhoun Room, at the Grand Wayne Center, as early as 8:30am and the TinCaps staff opened the doors and began the application process at 9:00am, a full hour earlier than originally planned. “We anticipated a great response to the openings we have available, so an early arriving crowd wasn’t a surprise,” said Vice President of Sales and Finance, Brian Schackow. “I am proud of our staff for being able to interact with as many people today as we did.”<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

While not everyone that came to the Grand Wayne Center today was able to have a face-to-face interview, the TinCaps are dedicated to making sure they have the best possible personnel when Parkview Field opens in April. “We interviewed well over 500 people today and accepted applications from 1,500 more that we were not able to speak with at length,” said Michael Limmer, Vice President of Marketing. “We spoke with a large number of qualified candidates and look forward to sifting through the remaining applications to fill out the remainder of our staffing needs. There cannot be enough credit given to Gary Wasson, Kim Kelso and the entire staff at the Grand Wayne Center. They have been tremendous partners and neighbors. They made the planning and execution of this event so simple.”<\/p>\n

The TinCaps will be contacting applicants throughout this week and next as they wrap up their personnel search and continuing focusing on the opening of Parkview Field. “We work at an exciting place at an exciting time,” said Jenn Roussel, Asst. Director of Food and Beverage. “The people we interview are excited about Parkview Field and the opportunity to work during the inaugural year. People that attend a game or event will be able to tell that everyone from the ushers and cashiers to the ticket takers are enjoying what they do and that leads to an enjoyable experience for the fans.”<\/p>\n

Due to the large number of applicants, the team will not be accepting additional applications at this time. Those that did apply today are asked to be patient as the TinCaps review applications and follow up directly within the coming weeks.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
