Hughes promotes early voting<\/strong>
\nDiscusses the Convenient Options for Fort Wayne Voters<\/em><\/p>\n

Former Allen County Council President and Republican nominee for Mayor of Fort Wayne Paula Hughes kicked off the first day of early voting by casting her municipal ballot at the Allen County Elections Board.<\/p>\n

“Early voting gives us the opportunity to cast our ballot at our own leisure, fulfill our civic duty, and choose who is best to lead our great city,” Paula Hughes said.<\/p>\n

While absentee voting by mail began in September, in-person early voting began today. Absentee voting by mail requires that you meet one of eleven different criteria to be eligible to use that option. On the other hand, early voting allows you to cast your ballot during regular business hours at the Elections Board office without a specified reason for voting early. The Elections Board office has moved to 1 West Superior Street downtown.<\/p>\n

Voting hours are as follows:
\nMonday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMSaturday, October 29 and November 5, 2011: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
\nMonday, November 7, 2011: 8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon<\/p>\n

For well over a year, Paula Hughes has been outlining her plans to cut wasteful spending, reduce the city’s half-a-billion dollar debt, and get Fort Wayne working again.<\/p>\n

“I am advocating early voting because the choice in the race for mayor is clear,” Hughes stated. “We need a proven conservative leader who can get Fort Wayne working again and I am the only candidate that has outlined a long-term plan of financial stability for our great community.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
