Parkview to host Medicare drug plan information sessions<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(September 9, 2011) – Parkview will host an upcoming program, “Is Your Medicare Drug Plan the Right One for You?” There will be two sessions – 6:30-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 and 9:30-11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Parkview Health Corporate Office auditorium, 10501 Corporate Dr. on the Parkview North campus.<\/p>\n

Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counselors will provide information and answer questions from participants.<\/p>\n

Every October, drug plans start advertising their coverage changes for the coming year. This year, the dates when you are able to switch plans are between October 15 and December 7. These are new, earlier dates. If you change plans, the new plan begins January 1, and the old plan ends automatically.<\/p>\n

Drug plans may change the list of drugs they cover, the prices and your share of the cost. Your plan is required by law to send an Annual Notice of Change.<\/p>\n
