2011 Hispanic Heritage Month: Many Backgrounds, Many Stories, One Dream<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(September 7, 2011) – Hispanic Heritage Month at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) celebrates the many cultural contributions of the Hispanic population. This year’s theme, “Many Backgrounds, Many Stories, One Dream,” will feature events on campus, at venues in Fort Wayne and Geneva, Ind. The celebration begins September 15 and continues through October 15.<\/p>\n

The month-long celebration will have its kickoff event Thursday, September 15, from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on the Alumni Plaza at IPFW. It will feature live music by DJ Phat Sound of Radio Unica, a live performance by local Hip Hop artist Raul Perez, and free refreshments.<\/p>\n

Sponsored by the IPFW Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, all events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.<\/p>\n
