30 Ways in 30 Days to Fight Hunger<\/a><\/strong>” is a list of 30 small things people can do to help feed their hungry neighbors.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
“We are trying new things all the time to help raise awareness and reach new audiences,” said Jane Avery, executive director of Community Harvest. “Every person we can touch becomes a soldier in our fight against hunger in our area. If everyone did something small, it would make a significant impact. Together we are feeding Northeast Indiana.”<\/p>\n
Community Harvest Food Bank, Feeding Indiana’s Hungry, and Feeding America are encouraging everyone to rally for hunger relief by doing three simple tasks this September: watch, share, and act.<\/p>\n

Actors Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Taye Diggs, and Ana Ortiz have partnered with Feeding America to show that hunger is indeed closer than you think. Watch these celebrities portray an actual Feeding America client experiencing hunger.[\/li]
\n[li]Secondly, share the PSAs through your social media spaces, such as Twitter, Facebook, or your personal blog. Our goal is to reach 1 million people through digital platforms.[\/li]
\n[li]Lastly, and most importantly take action. By visiting www.hungeractionmonth.org, or Feeding America’s interactive map, discover hunger numbers in your area and act locally.[\/li]
\n[li]Volunteer at Community Harvest Food Bank.[\/li]
\n[li]Share hunger stats with your friends. Tweet, post, and blog about hunger in your area.[\/li]
\n[li]Donate to Community Harvest Food Bank, the member food banks of Feeding Indiana’s Hungry, or Feeding America. $1 donated helps Feeding America provide ten pounds of food and grocery products, or the equivalent of eight meals, to someone at risk of hunger.[\/li]

\nCommunity Harvest Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in northeast Indiana, annually distributing nearly 10 million pounds of food.
