ARCH announces three Fall events<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Join us for a trip through time as we travel to Strawtown Koteewi Prairie Park near Noblesville to see an active archaeological dig. We’ll see IPFW Archaeologists at work and participate in a few hands-on activities. On the way back we’ll stop at two of ARCH’s National Register of Historic Places projects for this year; The Mesingomesia School and the Hanging Rock. We’re working on these nominations with the Indiana Miami to help document and protect the important historic and cultural resources of northeast Indiana. We’ll leave at 8 AM on the 24th of September. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $20 for ARCH members and $15 for students. Come join ARCH as we celebrate the fall season at our first annual fall festival fundraiser<\/strong> on Saturday October 8th from 4-9pm at historic Fort Wayne! We will have games for children, including a ring toss, face painting, lollipop tree, treasure hunt, and more. For adults and teenagers, we will have several different contests, which include pumpkin bowling, pumpkin carving, rock-paper-scissors, apple bobbing and more. There will also be a bake sale, silent auction, and ghost stories around a bon fire. For more information, please contact ARCH at 426-5117.<\/p>\nOctober is filled with opportunities to celebrate the spirit of Halloween with ARCH. Join us for a twilight stroll through West Central and downtown while we spin tales of the darker side of Fort Wayne’s history. Fright Site Hikes will be held downtown<\/strong> on Oct 8 at 9 PM and in the West Central Neighborhood<\/strong> at 9 PM on Saturday, October 15th. October 22nd is Fright Night in downtown Fort Wayne. ARCH will once again hold Haunted Site Bus Tours & Fright Site Hikes from 7-11pm. On Friday, October 28th ARCH will hold a brand new 2-hour Haunted Sites Bus Tour<\/strong> that will take guests into the county and surrounding areas to hear haunted tales of new and old. Fright Site Hikes<\/strong> will also be held on the 29th in downtown Fort Wayne. Tickets for these events go on sale on Friday, September 30th. All Fright Site Hike tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 6 & up, free for children 5 & under. Fright Night Haunted Site Bus Tour tickets are $15.00 for non-members, $13.00 for ARCH members, $10.00 for children under 18. Tickets for the October 29th Haunted Sites Bus tour are $20.00 non-members, $18.00 ARCH members, $15.00 children under 18.
