The advantage of this partnership is to leverage the reach of Make through online and print exposure to its national audience of makers while connecting TekVenture and the NE Indiana region to the international maker scene.<\/p>\n
“I am so geeked to learn Fort Wayne is going to have a hacker space and I can’t wait for the Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire”, said Ed DeWitt, Senior Engineering Analyst at Navistar International upon learning of the event.<\/p>\n
Over 100 makers are anticipated to participate. The Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire\u00c2\u00ae is unique in that most exhibitors will actually be making something in their space. The goal is to create an environment where makers connect with one another and the general public can connect with the maker movement through these creative and innovative people while learning their problem-solving processes.<\/p>\n
The event will include attractions that will draw public interest; hands-on learning opportunities such as a soldering workshop; seminars on pertinent topics; TinkerTown, a place for young makers 4 -14; food, and entertainment.
