Galbraith has served as the Historic Preservation Specialist for ARCH since 2006, and holds a Master of Science degree in Historic Preservation from Ball State University. During his time with ARCH he has headed the Survey and Documentation program and also has acted as the contact and liaison for the organization’s Endangered Structures list. Galbraith previously served as the President of the ARCH Board of Directors. In addition to his new role with ARCH, he will continue his employment as a musician with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and as a volunteer on the Wildwood Park Board of Directors.

Angie Quinn, who has served as the Executive Director of ARCH since 1996, will leave her current position June 30, in order to assist her husband with their new business, the Pembroke Bakery, which will be located in Fort Wayne. She will continue to assist ARCH with a variety of activities on a part-time basis. “Although I will be embarking on a new adventure, my interest in preserving our community’s rare and special resources will continue. Allen County has such wonderful architecture and sites with amazing history, and we all should endeavor to work to protect them. Mike Galbraith has the expertise and enthusiasm to lead this effort into the future.”

Galbraith added “As ARCH completes its thirty-sixth year, I’m honored to succeed Angie Quinn and I look forward to continuing the preservation legacy that she, previous directors and our dedicated Board and volunteers have created. Angie will be missed – we wish her all the best in her exciting new endeavor.”

For more information, please contact ARCH at 260-426-5117, or archfortwayne@gmail.com.

Related Images:

 <a href="https://aroundfortwayne.com/news/wp-content/gallery/assorted-photos/4543.jpg"
title="The William Wells ARCH Marker at the northeast corner of the Griswold Drive and Tennessee Avenue intersection.
