These new plates help promote 11 causes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"1st row of plates\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/plates-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bicycle Indiana &#8211; Helps promote bicycling safety and education programs;<\/li>\n<li>Donate Life Indiana &#8211; Promotes organ donation;<\/li>\n<li>Greenways Foundation &#8211; Builds awareness for grants to local communities for trails and greenways;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"2nd row of license plates.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/plates-2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indiana Teamsters Local Unions &#8211; Provides contributions to the not-for-profit Indiana Fraternal Order of Police Foundation;<\/li>\n<li>Indiana Youth Institute &#8211; Helps recruit mentors and promote mentoring;<\/li>\n<li>National Rifle Association &#8211; Promotes hunter safety and conservation project grants to Indiana groups and organizations;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"3rd row of license plates.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/plates-3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Peyton Manning Children&#8217;s Hospital at St. Vincent &#8211; Helps promote the Child Protection Center;<\/li>\n<li>Indiana Sheriff&#8217;s Association &#8211; Provides for training conferences for law enforcement and college scholarships for students pursuing a masters in criminal justice;<\/li>\n<li>Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana &#8211; Encourages families with limited income to use the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"4th row of license plates.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/plates-4.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stop Diabetes &#8211; Promotes education and research about diabetes; and<\/li>\n<li>Wild Turkey &#8211; Helps promote habitat enhancement, hunter safety and education programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2010, the agency reported more than 400,000 Hoosier motorists purchased specialty plates, generating approximately $10 million for sponsoring groups. For every $40 specialty plate fee, $25 goes to the sponsoring organization&#8217;s cause.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, more than 80 license plate designs, including plates that support military personnel and their families, are offered to Hoosier drivers.<\/p>\n<p>A simple click on <span class=\"removed_link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/main\/weblinksmenu\/68-government\/272-indiana-bmv\">www.in.gov\/bmv<\/span> allows Hoosiers to access more information on this year&#8217;s specialty plates.
