Updates from the Allen County Election Board for candidate filings.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Last Friday, Republican Jerome Gaines filed in the Fort Wayne City Council 2nd District race. \u00c2\u00a0He will thus far face fellow Republican Russ Jehl. \u00c2\u00a0Republican Kurt Gutman formally announced January 13, 2011, but hasn’t officially filed yet.<\/p>\n

Eric Doden officially filed today.<\/p>\n

The one candidate who has not filed yet, nor given any word on his plans is Fort Wayne City Councilman Mitch Harper. \u00c2\u00a0Harper is a Republican representing the 4th District.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow, Fort Wayne City Councilman John Shoaff will be filing for his re-election bid in the At-Large race.<\/p>\n

Noon Friday is the deadline for Republicans and Democrats to file to be on the May Primary Election ballot.<\/p>\n
