{"id":17176,"date":"2011-02-11T08:18:26","date_gmt":"2011-02-11T13:18:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/?p=17176"},"modified":"2011-02-11T08:18:26","modified_gmt":"2011-02-11T13:18:26","slug":"governors-ask-for-adjustments-to-state-run-healthcare-exchanges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/2011\/02\/11\/governors-ask-for-adjustments-to-state-run-healthcare-exchanges\/","title":{"rendered":"Governors ask for adjustments to state-run healthcare exchanges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder<\/p>\n<p>Media release from the Governor&#8217;s office:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Governors ask for adjustments to state-run healthcare exchanges<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>(INDIANAPOLIS, February 7, 2011) &#8211; Governor Mitch Daniels is one of 21 Republican governors who sent a letter today to U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius asking her to make six changes to rules about state-run health care exchanges or risk the federal government taking full responsibility for running a national exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Daniels also wrote an opinion editorial on the same topic that appeared in today&#8217;s Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n<p>In the letter, the governors said &#8220;We wish states had been given more opportunity to provide input when the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was being drafted.
