\nExtreme Caution Advised for Anyone on the Road<\/em><\/p>\n

Public safety officials are urging everyone impacted by the developing winter storm in central and northern Indiana to avoid travel except in cases of emergency.<\/p>\n

“Accumulating amounts of ice and snow, coupled with high winds will be creating extremely hazardous travel conditions across most of central and northern Indiana,” said Indiana Executive Director Joe Wainscott. “The best advice right now is to stay inside unless you have a true emergency. If it is absolutely essential that you leave home, it’s vitally important that you take every precaution to ensure your safety on the road.”<\/p>\n

Indiana State Police advise motorists to drive only if absolutely necessary in severe weather and to take the following precautions:<\/p>\n
