LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS BEFORE DIMINISHING FURTHER TO LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS AWAY FROM LAKE EFFECT AREAS IS EXPECTED TO BE AN INCH TO POSSIBLY TWO INCHES. STRONG NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL CREATE SIGNFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW…ESPECIALLY ON EAST TO WEST ROADS.<\/p>\n

…WINTER STORM TO IMPACT AREA THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT…<\/p>\n

.LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE THIS EVENING ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA WITH BRIEF PERIODS OF HEAVIER SNOW. AN INTENSE BAND OF HEAVY LAKE\u00c2\u00a0EFFECT SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS FAR NORTHWEST INDIANA AND SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN THROUGH THE NIGHT AND INTO MONDAY AND\u00c2\u00a0MONDAY NIGHT.<\/p>\n

ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OUTSIDE OF THE LAKE EFFECT BAND WILL GENERALLY BE BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES. WITHIN THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND…ACCUMULATIONS TONIGHT COULD BE 5 TO 10 INCHES WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO INCHES PER HOUR AND LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. TOTAL LAKE EFFECT SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION WILL LIKELY BE BETWEEN 12 AND 18 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS.<\/p>\n

STRONG NORTH WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 40 MPH CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED TONIGHT. THIS WILL LEAD TO CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW…ESPECIALLY ON EAST TO WEST ROADS OVERNIGHT.<\/p>\n
