Mad Ants Waive Zahn, Reacquire Hunter<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(December 2, 2010)- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that they have waived Adam Zahn to make room for the reacquisition of Chris Hunter, who was waived back in November due to an injury.<\/p>\n

Zahn, a 6-9 forward, averaged 5.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in the Mad Ants’ first four games.<\/p>\n

Hunter, who averaged 4.5 ppg in 60 games for the Golden State Warriors last season and 19.3 ppg for the Ants in 2008-09, is expected to play with the team on the road as they take on the Maine Red Claws and the Springfield Armor this weekend.<\/p>\n

NBA Development League<\/strong>
\nThe NBA Development League, founded in 2001, is the NBA’s official minor league whose teams have direct affiliations to NBA franchises. For the 2010-11 season, the league will feature 16 teams – including the debut of the Texas Legends. A proven developer of talent, 20 percent of players in the NBA at the conclusion of the 2009-10 season boasted NBA D-League experience, while the league continues to develop coaches, referees, and front-office staff for the NBA and its teams. In fostering the league’s connection to the community, its teams, players and staff promote health and wellness, support local needs and interests, and assist in educational development through NBA D-League Cares programs.
