A physician-led and physician-governed division of Parkview Health, PPG was developed to enhance the delivery of quality health care services.<\/p>\n<p>MCHA is a multi-specialty medical group with ten locations in northwest Ohio. Forty-six MCHA physicians with a support staff of 250 employees provide 17 specialty services. MCHA also offers a full range of ancillary services, including radiology and mammography, laboratory, physical therapy, and a nuclear camera. MCHA provides services in Archbold, Bryan, Edgerton, Edon, Montpelier, Napoleon, Sherwood, Stryker, and Wauseon, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>The new arrangement provides opportunities for more cost-effective quality care through the shared efficiencies of a larger practice. &#8220;Parkview Physicians&#8217; Group is pleased to be a partner with Midwest Community Health Associates as we work to be a leader in providing excellent care for patients,&#8221; said Mark Nafziger, chief operating officer, Parkview Health. &#8220;The PPG model is designed to improve systems of care, erase duplication of services, enhance the quality of care, and improve outcomes. By having physicians working together for the benefit of patients, it puts Parkview in a strong position to help meet the demands for health care.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Midwest Community Health Associates and Parkview have been working closely together over the last six months to develop this alignment,&#8221; said Jim Hamilton, CEO of MCHA. &#8220;As health care continues to evolve, MCHA&#8217;s alignment with Parkview Physicians&#8217; Group will allow us to enhance the quality of our patient care.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>PPG physicians are not limited to practicing at Parkview facilities. Operation under the new agreement is expected to begin on January 1, 2011.
