Courtesy image supplied by Judy Wire.\" rel=\"lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/Wells_Street_Bridge.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/tWells_Street_Bridge.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today a press conference was held at the Fort Wayne Outfitters on Cass Street. \u00c2\u00a0The purpose was to introduce the Wells Area Merchants (WAM !) lighting project for the Historic Wells Street Bridge.  <a href=\"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/2008\/09\/20\/historic-wells-street-bridge-lighting-project\/\">Previous AFW post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Press Release (on Blue paper to represent the blue lights of the project):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Wells Area Merchants, WAM ! presents &#8220;Windows of Wells&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Our windows will be auctioned off on Sunday, October 19th between 3:00 and 5:00 PM on the Historic Wells Street Bridge. \u00c2\u00a0All of the proceeds will go to the bridge lighting project. \u00c2\u00a0We are sure this landmark, once lighted, will become a downtown attraction for tourists and residents alike.<\/p>\n<p>Donations are tax deductible and may be made out to &#8220;Board of Park Commissioners&#8221; with a note, Bridge Lighting. \u00c2\u00a0They may be dropped off at G.I.
