Individuals and families can donate either online, or at any of the donation boxes at the Holiday Houses for Habitat event at the Grand Wayne Center. We have built the largest community snow village in Indiana and have laid the foundation for a Fort Wayne holiday tradition that families and visitors will enjoy for generations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fort Wayne Habitat for Humanity is excited to partner with Visit Fort Wayne to present Holiday Houses for Habitat. Not only is this event a chance for area families to visit a delightful Christmas display, but is a chance to learn more about the mission of Fort Wayne Habitat and its partner families. Once completed the homes are sold to the family with a $500 down payment and at no profit on a 20-year, interest-free mortgage. Because of volunteer involvement, the cost of a standard three-bedroom home is kept affordable at approximately $65,000, with the monthly mortgage payment around $350, which includes taxes and insurance.
