Hands-on Fun with Science: The 2010-11 Science Central Lunch with an IPFW Scientist Series<\/strong><\/p>\n

(September 3, 2010) – Why does Chemistry have a place in the kitchen as well as a photographer’s darkroom? Discover the answers and many more
\nsurprising facts at this season’s 2010-11 Science Central Lunch with an IPFW Scientist Series. Eight Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) faculty members will present fun and informative hands-on sessions Oct. 2010 through May 2011.<\/p>\n

The Lunch with an IPFW Scientist Series is designed for young people, ages 8-14, who have a budding interest in the sciences. Those who attend are able to see firsthand how various scientific processes work. After each presentation, which includes a hands-on activity, participants enjoy lunch with the presenter. The sessions are held the second Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. at Science Central.<\/p>\n
