\nAward recognizes effective use of technology by physicians<\/em><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 19, 2026) \u2013 For the second consecutive year, Parkview Health has received the Pinnacle Award from the KLAS Arch Collaborative, which recognizes health systems for high-level effectiveness and user experience with their electronic health records (EHR).<\/p>\n

Parkview ranked in the 98th percentile for physician experience among 126 health systems surveyed that use the Epic EHR system. Parkview was one of only nine systems nationwide to receive the Pinnacle Award for physicians and was also recognized as the top-performing medium-sized system by KLAS, among the ten participating systems, in this year\u2019s program.<\/p>\n

\u201cParkview is constantly evaluating and evolving our Epic system to make it more efficient and useful for our physicians,\u201d said Dr. Mark Mabus, senior vice president of electronic health records and chief medical informatics officer. \u201cTechnology is an important tool for doctors and receiving the Pinnacle Award again demonstrates that Parkview continues to work closely with our teams to ensure they are able to work effectively.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Arch Collaborative at KLAS Research is a group of healthcare organizations committed to improving the EHR experience for clinicians. Through standardized surveys and benchmarking, healthcare organizations collaborate to identify best practices for reducing burnout, increasing efficiency and accuracy, and improving patient care. KLAS is a research and insights firm on a global mission to improve healthcare delivery by amplifying the provider\u2019s voice.<\/p>\n

Parkview has implemented numerous practices to manage its EHR in cooperation with users, such as conducting customized 1-on-1 sessions with providers, creating short informational content for physicians with user tips, and generating fun and engaging content such as music videos or interactive tools to reinforce training.<\/p>\n

\u201cTechnology is interwoven into every part of the healthcare experience,\u201d said Jeff Coulter, chief information officer, Parkview Health. \u201cWorking one-on-one with physicians will always be the foundation of great care, but technology also provides our caregivers with the tools to make safe, effective, and efficient decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parkview joined the Arch Collaborative in 2025 in order to gauge how the system matched up against other health systems. Parkview received the Pinnacle Award in its first year and repeated the achievement.<\/p>\n

Parkview has frequently been recognized for its effective implementation and use of technology. The system achieved cum laude status and made Epic\u2019s annual Honor Roll for five consecutive years<\/a>; maintains a 12-year streak as a \u201cMost Wired\u201d system<\/a> with the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME); and achieved a three-year Stage 7 certification<\/a>, the highest possible, with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in 2023.<\/p>\n
