Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 21, 2026) \u2013 Parkview Field, the home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps, will host a fall exhibition baseball game between Indiana University and Huntington University on Sunday, Oct. 4, with first pitch scheduled for 2:05 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so excited to welcome Indiana University and Huntington University to Parkview Field this fall,\u201d TinCaps President and General Manager Mike Nutter said. \u201cThe Hoosiers and Foresters both have local players, and it will be an amazing opportunity for baseball fans in Northeast Indiana to see the two teams square off at Parkview Field. We will keep the tickets affordable and give the chance to have fans of the Hoosiers and Foresters in our award-winning ballpark to see their teams in action.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gates are set to open at 1:05 p.m. ET with tickets on sale now at TinCaps.com<\/a> and in person at the Parkview Field Ticket Office. Individual tickets start at just $12, with group ticket packages available for 20 tickets or more.<\/p>\n

Huntington is coming off a historic season, capped off by an NAIA Tournament appearance. Led by head coach Thad Frame, the Foresters won a program-record 39 games in 2026, scoring a program-record 8.86 runs per game. The team featured six All-Crossroads League selections, including Pitcher of the Year Grant Simmons and Player of the Year Owen Willard.<\/p>\n

Indiana is coming off its 132nd season of baseball in Bloomington. The Hoosiers have made eight NCAA Division I tournament appearances across the last 13 years, including a Men\u2019s College World Series appearance in 2013. Under head coach Jeff Mercer, the Hoosiers have had 31 players selected in the MLB draft across the last eight seasons. A total of 43 players from the program have gone on to make their MLB debuts, including four-time All-Star and 2016 World Series Champion Kyle Schwarber.<\/p>\n

The two 2026 rosters included five Fort Wayne locals, plus many more Northeast Indiana natives: Indiana left-handed pitcher Brayton Thomas (Bishop Dwenger) and infielder Landen Fry (Snider), alongside Huntington\u2019s Johnnie Ankenbruck (Homestead), Kyle Decker (Leo), and recently graduated Grant Simmons (Homestead).<\/p>\n

Postgame, fans will have the opportunity to get autographs signed by both Hoosier and Forester baseball players.<\/p>\n
