Project Nearing Completion<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Aboite-Coventry Lane intersection set to open Aug. 11<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first portion of the Aboite Center Road improvement project between Coventry Lane and Dicke Road should be finished early next week.<\/p>\n<p>The Allen County Highway Department today said paving work at Aboite Center and Coventry is scheduled to be completed and the intersection opened to traffic by Wednesday, August 11. By Tuesday, August 17, crews should be through working on the Coventry to Dicke stretch of Aboite Center.<\/p>\n<p>Once the first section is done, crews will immediately begin work on the portion of Aboite Center from Dicke to West Jefferson Boulevard. The entire project is expected to be finished by mid-October.<\/p>\n<p>The $6.6 million project includes widening Aboite Center from two lanes to four 12-foot wide lanes with curb and gutter, adding an eight-foot wide multi-use path on the north side and a five-foot wide sidewalk along the south side of the road.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Related Images:<\/h3>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Press release from the Allen County Board of Commissioners: First Half of Aboite Center Rd.
