Northside Pool will close at 5 pm on August 21, and McMillen Pool will close at 6 pm on August 21. Closing the pools in August is a standard practice due to the majority of part-time Parks &amp; Recreation staff returning to school.<\/p>\n<p>All of the City&#8217;s free splash pads will remain open through September.<\/p>\n<p>Splash pad hours are 9 am &#8211; 9 pm daily through Labor Day. After Labor Day, splash pad hours will be noon &#8211; 8 pm daily.<\/p>\n<p>Splash pads are located at the following parks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buckner Park, 6114 Bass Road<\/li>\n<li>McCormick Park,\u00c2\u00a02300 Raymond &amp; Holly<\/li>\n<li>Memorial Park, 2301 Maumee &amp; Glasgow<\/li>\n<li>Robert E. Meyers Park, Inside North Gate of Parkview\u00c2\u00a0Field on Jefferson Blvd<\/li>\n<li>Shoaff Park,\u00c2\u00a06401 St. Joe Rd.<\/li>\n<li>Waynedale Park,\u00c2\u00a02900 Koons &amp; Elzey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Splash pads are touch activated. To turn the water on, look for a short pole (approx. 3 ft. tall) with a plastic dome top located within the play area. Place your hands on the dome for a few seconds. The water will appear shortly and run for several minutes. When the water stops, repeat the procedure. The splash pad at Robert E. Meyers Park is foot activated.
