Parkview Health today celebrated the groundbreaking of its future full-service hospital and medical office building in West Lafayette, Indiana.<\/p>\n

\nApproximately $200 million investment to expand access to high-quality healthcare in one of Indiana’s fastest-growing communities<\/em><\/p>\n

West Lafayette, Indiana (July 27, 2026) \u2013 Parkview Health today celebrated the groundbreaking of its future full-service hospital and medical office building in West Lafayette, marking a major milestone in the health system’s commitment to serving the evolving healthcare needs of Tippecanoe County. The approximately $200 million project is being developed near the intersection of N 100 W and Kalberer Road on land acquired from the Purdue Research Foundation (PRF).<\/p>\n

First announced in July 2025<\/a>, the project will bring a nearly 200,000-square-foot hospital to West Lafayette, featuring up to 40 inpatient beds, a 24\/7 emergency department, surgical and procedural services, specialty care, lab and imaging services, a comprehensive range of outpatient offerings and space for future expansion. A neighboring medical office building will provide primary and specialty care services for the community.<\/p>\n

The development is expected to create an estimated 250 healthcare jobs while strengthening access to care for residents throughout West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County and the surrounding region.<\/p>\n

“A year ago, we shared our vision for bringing a full-service hospital to West Lafayette. Today, we’re turning that vision into reality,” said Dr. Greg Johnson, chief physician executive of growth markets, Parkview Health. “This community is expanding rapidly, and healthcare infrastructure needs to keep pace. We’re excited to begin building a hospital that will expand access to emergency, inpatient and specialty care close to home for the people of Tippecanoe County.\u201d<\/p>\n

“From the beginning, our goal has been to become a trusted healthcare partner in West Lafayette,” added John Bowen, Parkview Health\u2019s chief growth markets officer. “As construction gets underway, we’re excited to continue building relationships throughout the community and working alongside local leaders to support the region’s long-term growth and success.”<\/p>\n

Parkview leaders, community partners, local officials and project stakeholders gathered for the ceremony to commemorate the start of construction and celebrate the collaboration that helped bring the project to fruition.<\/p>\n

“Access to medical care is essential to our growing community and to the economic success of our region,\u201d said Mitch Daniels, Interim President, Purdue University. \u201cParkview\u2019s commitment helps meet that vital need and we look forward to expanded medical options for Purdue and its community partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom my time in Congress representing West Lafayette to now as their Attorney General, I know this area to be a special place with great people,\u201d Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita said. \u201cSo, it\u2019s no coincidence Parkview Health chose to build here with the intention of delivering greater access to healthcare and real results for this community. As a regulator, I must reserve judgment, but I do have high expectations for the value this project can deliver.\u201d<\/p>\n

Expanding access to high-quality healthcare is an important part of that commitment. This hospital will strengthen the quality of life that makes West Lafayette such a special place to call home while helping meet the healthcare needs of our community for generations to come. While construction on the new campus progresses, Parkview will expand access to care this October with the opening of a primary care clinic just down the road at 1305 Cumberland Ave. The hospital is scheduled to open in June 2028.<\/p>\n
