Limited access to businesses will be available from Meyer near Indiana 930.

Crews will install a 30-inch water main beneath the roadway using directional drilling, a method that allows the pipe to be placed underground without excavating the entire road. The westbound lane will remain closed, as it is currently, for ongoing work on the East Side Transmission Main project.

The project will strengthen water service to neighborhoods beginning near Edsall Avenue and support the industrial area along New Haven Avenue and Meyer Road.

Motorists should use an alternate route and allow extra travel time.

Related Images:

 <a href="https://aroundfortwayne.com/news/wp-content/gallery/cityoffw/71710.jpg"
title="Mayor Tom Henry shakes hands with Allen County Councilman Paul Moss after the press conference announcing his decision to seek a referendum vote on the gaming issue.
