The Allen County Board of Commissioners voted to approve the funding for the eleven organizations recommended by the Allen County Drug and Alcohol Consortium at Legislative Session on June 12, 2026.<\/p>\n

Board of Commissioners Approves Drug and Alcohol Consortium Grants<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Allen County, Indiana (June 16, 2026) \u2013 The Allen County Board of Commissioners voted to approve the funding for the eleven organizations recommended by the Allen County Drug and Alcohol Consortium (DAC) at Legislative Session on June 12, 2026.<\/p>\n

DAC is the local coordinating council for Allen County that is tasked with the annual distribution of the local Drug Free Community Fund. There was $113,896.31 available for distribution during the grant cycle for the second half of 2026. The money comes from court fees that accrue for drug\/alcohol-related charges.<\/p>\n

Each year DAC\u2019s Grant Review Committee, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors review applications for assistance. Per Indiana state mandate, the organizations must provide services that fall into one of these three categories: Prevention, Intervention\/Treatment, or Justice. A portion of the funding goes toward administrative costs.<\/p>\n
