Twelve Fort Wayne neighborhood associations were named as recipients of the City of Fort Wayne’s Neighborhood Engagement Grants.<\/p>\n

Mayor Sharon Tucker joins Foellinger Foundation to announce Neighborhood Engagement Grant recipients<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 9, 2026) \u2013 Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker and Foellinger Foundation President and CEO Sarah Strimmenos announced today that 12 Fort Wayne neighborhood associations are receiving engagement grants to help fund programs and events that support connection, collaboration, and relationship-building.<\/p>\n

Community Development\u2019s Neighborhoods Department awarded grants up to $5,000 to complete projects in one of four areas: community celebration, educational opportunity, reaching residents, and working together.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur neighborhoods help make Fort Wayne a welcoming and viable community,\u201d said Mayor Tucker. \u201cI\u2019m so encouraged by the support of Foellinger Foundation. They are a tremendous partner as we work together to help neighborhoods with needed projects and enhance the quality of life in our great city.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Neighborhood Engagement Grant program is supported by a Special Opportunity Grant from Foellinger Foundation and supports activities like block parties, educational workshops, neighborhood clean-up events, and social gatherings.<\/p>\n

\u201cStrong neighborhoods are built when people come together to celebrate, learn, and support one another,\u201d said Strimmenos. \u201cWe are proud to invest in local ideas that create connection, expand educational opportunities, and reach residents where they are. When communities work together, even small efforts that foster connection can spark lasting impact and strengthen the fabric of our neighborhoods.\u201d<\/p>\n
