Several projects led by the City of Fort Wayne\u2019s Right of Way Department as part of the Public Works Division received approval from City Council this evening.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>News release from the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Right of way projects receive approval at City Council<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Commitment to investing in neighborhoods continues<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 24, 2026) \u2013 Fort Wayne\u2019s investment in neighborhood infrastructure improvements continues. Several projects led by the City of Fort Wayne\u2019s Right of Way Department as part of the Public Works Division received approval from City Council this evening.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Barrett Law Cost Share Package to improve sidewalks \u2013 Not to exceed $500,000, with $250,000 being City funds.<\/li>\n<li>Right of Way Miscellaneous Package \u2013 Not to exceed $1 million.<\/li>\n<li>Sidewalk Trip Hazard Elimination Package \u2013 Not to exceed $200,000.<\/li>\n<li>ADA Curb Ramp Package \u2013 Not to exceed $500,000.<\/li>\n<li>Guardrail and Attenuator Package \u2013 Not to exceed $300,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the right of way projects, the Avalon Place concrete street repairs phase 1 project in southwest Fort Wayne received final approval tonight &#8211; $2.045 million. The Northeast Quadrant resurfacing package was given final approval as well &#8211; $776,745. Additional resurfacing packages for the remaining quadrants in the City will go to City Council for consideration in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>Under Mayor Sharon Tucker\u2019s leadership the City plans to invest $37 million in neighborhood infrastructure enhancements this year.
