The Congressional City Conference is an opportunity for local officials to learn from federal leaders, policy experts and fellow local leaders, and hear from and connect with experts on a variety of topics including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Climate resilience and sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Workforce development<\/li>\n<li>Affordable housing<\/li>\n<li>Public safety<\/li>\n<li>Railroad safety<\/li>\n<li>Nutrition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mayor McMichael will engage speakers, fellow attendees and members of Congress on a number of topics, including rail and transportation issues, fiscal wellness, and more.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This conference allows us the opportunity to bring New Haven to Congress, sharing our strengths and challenges, inviting members to hear our story and get to know us on a deeper level.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>NLC is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to helping city leaders build better communities. Throughout the year, NLC advocates for cities and towns in Washington, D.C. through full-time lobbying and grassroots campaigns.
