Gov. Braun Announces Health Tech Company Resmed Plans Indiana Distribution Center, Joining Growing Life Sciences Sector<\/strong><\/p>\n

Greenwood, Indiana (February 24, 2026) \u2013 Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced today that Resmed (NYSE: RMD), the leading health technology company focused on sleep, breathing and care delivered in the home, plans to establish its first U.S. Midwest operation in Indiana, adding more than 100 new, high-wage jobs to the state\u2019s leading life sciences industry.<\/p>\n

“Indiana\u2019s life sciences sector continues to attract new global and innovative leaders to the state,\u201d said Gov. Braun. \u201cHere in the crossroads of the U.S., Resmed will be centrally located and have access to robust infrastructure, helping the company serve customers more quickly and deliver life-changing solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Resmed will invest $30 million to build out a 446,500-square-foot facility at 1415 Collins Road in Greenwood to support the distribution of products and solutions to treat sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other sleep and breathing disorders. The new state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution center is its first in the Midwest, joining locations in California and Georgia, enabling the company to broaden its network and better serve providers and patients across the country. Once fully operational, the Greenwood facility will improve Resmed\u2019s two-day transit coverage across North America from 75% to 90% and shorten delivery times to Canada by one full day.<\/p>\n

The company plans to begin operations in Indiana in 2027. Resmed will hire for a broad range of skills, including high-skilled technicians and will invest heavily in employee training to ensure product quality and proper handling of sensitive medical equipment.<\/p>\n

The new center will strengthen Resmed\u2019s ability to serve providers and patients while also supporting long-term growth in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n

Resmed, which is headquartered in San Diego, is a leading provider of digital health technologies and cloud-connected medical devices that transform care for people with sleep apnea, COPD and other chronic diseases, supporting sleep health, breathing health and out-of-hospital healthcare management solutions. The company improved more than 154 million lives during its fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, and has provided approximately 33 million cloud-connectable devices worldwide.<\/p>\n

With this expansion, Resmed joins a robust life sciences industry in Indiana that supports more than 3,250 establishments and provides more than 70,000 careers with average salaries of $148,000 annually, according to BioCrossroads. In 2024, Indiana was the leading state in the country for industry exports, providing life-saving and life-changing solutions and products to customers across the world. Resmed is the latest health tech company to announce growth plans in Indiana, joining INCOG BioPharma, West Pharmaceutical Solutions and Autocam Medical, which together are creating more than 1,300 new jobs.<\/p>\n

Based on the company\u2019s job creation plans, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) committed an investment in Resmed of up to $1.75 million in the form of incentive-based tax credits. These incentives are performance-based, meaning the company is eligible to claim state benefits once investments are made and jobs are created. The city of Greenwood will offer additional incentives to support the project.<\/p>\n
