Second window for applications to be considered for use of opioid settlement funds to open Friday<\/strong>
\nPeople-focused initiative is designed to enhance quality of life<\/em><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (December 30, 2025) \u2013 The second window to apply for funding related to supporting non-profits and community organizations serving people impacted by opioid and substance addiction through prevention, recovery and harm reduction will open Friday, Jan. 2.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne\u2019s opioid settlement payments are scheduled to run through 2038. Earlier this year, Mayor Sharon Tucker created the National Opioid Settlement Committee in partnership with City Council. The purpose of the committee is to recommend usage of the funds, convene individuals and groups to explore causes and responses to priority issues related to opioid and substance use, and educate the community about opioid and substance use.<\/p>\n

The window to request funds will close on January 30. Applications must be submitted through the City of Fort Wayne\u2019s grants portal – Euna Grants – Grants Network<\/p>\n

Last month, Mayor Tucker announced the first recipients of opioid settlement funding with a total investment of $1.002 million. More information about that announcement can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since Mayor Tucker took office in April 2024, she has emphasized the importance of programs that are people-focused and needed in the community. The efforts, such as the National Opioid Settlement Committee, are designed to enhance the quality of life in Fort Wayne.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
