This policy is a meaningful step forward in building a culture that values mothers, fathers, and the precious lives they welcome into the world.<\/p>\n<p>By providing six weeks of paid childbirth recovery leave and up to eight weeks following a C-section, along with paid parental leave for both birth and adoptive parents, the state is recognizing the real physical, emotional, and financial pressures families face during the earliest and most vulnerable days of a child\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Director Nick Boratenski shared:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndiana sends a powerful message with this order: families matter, mothers matter, and every child\u2019s life has dignity. These policies reflect the compassion and commitment that a true pro-life culture requires, and we commend Governor Braun for taking decisive action that gives parents the time, healing, and stability they need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Indiana continues to consider ways to better support pregnant women and families, this expanded leave policy contributes positively to that broader effort.
