Last week was busy for Indiana State Police Fort Wayne Post Troopers as they worked to make an impact on Holiday travel.<\/p>\n

Indiana State Police Fort Wayne Post Thanksgiving Week Patrol Results<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (December 1, 2025) \u2013 Last week was busy for Indiana State Police Fort Wayne Post Troopers as they worked to make an impact on Holiday travel. The early part of the week our units participated in a special patrol assignment to focus on reckless and dangerous driving. This initial patrol took place on Monday, November 24. During this event, Indiana State Police Troopers from the Fort Wayne Post wrote 40 tickets and 37 warnings. During the patrol, six drivers were found to be driving while suspended. The Troopers also found one driver having never received a driver\u2019s license and another without having a valid driver\u2019s license. They made an arrest on a wanted subject and investigated one crash.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, November 26 through Friday, November 28, our Troopers were working in their communities to look for intoxicated and dangerous drivers. During this special patrol assignment, Troopers wrote 32 tickets and 133 warnings. They made 12 drug related arrests and one habitual traffic violator arrest. They also arrested one person on an outstanding warrant and one person for operating while intoxicated.<\/p>\n

During the inclement weather on Saturday and Sunday, our Troopers responded to 28 crashes, 23 slide offs, and handled 17 vehicles that were either abandoned or stranded on the side of the road.<\/p>\n

These events took place within the eleven counties within the Fort Wayne District. The stats given are those included within the special patrol assignment detail only. We are thankful for the effort of our Troopers over Thanksgiving Holiday week as they sacrificed time with family and friends to make roadways safer for Hoosiers and those passing through our state.<\/p>\n
