In preparation for this weekend\u2019s incoming winter weather, the Indiana State Police Fort Wayne Post would like the public to know that we will be towing abandoned vehicles on the interstates, US roads, and state roads.<\/p>\n

The Indiana State Police Fort Wayne Post Will Keep Roadways Clear Ahead of the Weekend Winter Weather<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (November 28, 2025) \u2013 In preparation for this weekend\u2019s incoming winter weather, the Indiana State Police Fort Wayne Post would like the public to know that we will be towing abandoned vehicles on the interstates, US roads, and state roads.<\/p>\n

Abandoned vehicles may cause unnecessary issues as INDOT works to clear the roadways. There is also the possibility of the abandoned vehicles being struck as slide-off crashes happen because of the inclement weather.<\/p>\n

If you do have an issue where your vehicle must be towed, please make arrangements to have it towed as soon as possible. If you leave your vehicle abandoned on the interstate, a US highway, or state road and it is not there when you return, or if you need assistance, please contact the Indiana State Police Fort Wayne Post at (260)432-8661.<\/p>\n
