Parkview Women’s Health Center to host upcoming events<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Parkview’s Women’s Health Center will host several upcoming events. The programs will be held at the Women’s Health Center on the Parkview North campus, entrance 2. Registration for the events is required by calling (260) 672-6500.<\/p>\n

Exercise and Wellness Classes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Senior Stretch<\/strong> – 9:30-10:30 a.m. each Monday beginning July 12-August 30
\nClass routine includes chair, standing and floor exercises. Sessions focus on controlled stretching and muscle strengthening. The cost is $40 for Women’s Health Center members and $50 for non-members.<\/p>\n

Evening Yoga<\/strong> – 5:30-6:30 p.m. each Monday beginning July 12-August 30
\nStretches and poses coupled with relaxed breathing renews a sense of calm, flexibility and strength. The cost is $40 for Women’s Health Center members and $50 for non-members.<\/p>\n

Foot and Nail Care<\/strong>
\n9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, July 13 and 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 20
\nThe service is ideal for people with diabetes, circulatory or arthritic conditions. The cost is $20 for Women’s Health Center members and $30 for non-members.<\/p>\n

Ask the Dietitian<\/strong>
\n3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, July 14
\nRegistered dietitian Julia Just is available to answer nutrition questions. The 15-minute appointments are free.<\/p>\n

Postpartum Pals Mom Time<\/strong>
\n11 a.m. Thursday, July 15
\nCynthia Barger, Parkview Pediatric Rehab, will be the guest speaker to discuss baby sign language. The event is free.<\/p>\n

Osteoporosis Screening<\/strong>
\n2-4 p.m. Thursday, July 15
\nThe screening lasts 15 minutes and can provide valuable information and help. The cost is $5 for Women’s Health Center members and $10 for non-members.<\/p>\n

A Recipe for Fun<\/strong>
\n6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, July 15
\nParkview Chef Ryan Eckert will carve a watermelon basket and demonstrate grilling techniques for a variety of summer foods. The cost is $10 for Women’s Health Center members and $20 for non-members.<\/p>\n

Foot Screenings with Dr. Michael McManus<\/strong>, Orthopaedics NorthEast
\nNoon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 21
\nThe screenings are designed for people experiencing pain, difficulty walking, changes in foot structure, or any condition of the skin or nails. Free for Women’s Health Center members and $5 for non-members.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
