Fort Wayne, Indiana (November 3, 2025) \u2014 Fort Wayne City Utilities invites everyone in Fort Wayne to celebrate the successful completion of the Long-Term Control Plan and the City\u2019s transformational work to protect our rivers and strengthen our neighborhoods \u2014 a singular milestone, decades in the making.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne invites residents, neighborhood leaders, and community partners to Promenade Park on Wednesday, November 5, from 4:30\u20136:30 p.m. to celebrate the completion of the 18-year Long-Term Control Plan.<\/p>\n

The event will recognize community members, neighborhood advocates, and former elected leaders whose vision and persistence led to significant clean-water and neighborhood-protection improvements.<\/p>\n

This milestone reflects one of the largest environmental and public-infrastructure commitments in Fort Wayne\u2019s history \u2014 protecting rivers, reducing basement backups, and strengthening neighborhoods for decades to come.<\/p>\n
