The study, commissioned by Allen County in early 2025, is designed to evaluate operational efficiency, staffing, system performance, and cost structure in support of a potential Consolidated Fire District model.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past several months, the PFW Systems Engineering Center met regularly with the Fire Oversight Working Group, which includes representatives of the Board of Commissioners, County Council, and Allen County Fire Districts. Today\u2019s presentation summarized the study methodology, system design considerations, and findings related to response efficiency, staffing models, geographic deployment, and resource consolidation.<\/p>\n<p>The findings were presented by Dr. David Cochran, Professor of Systems Engineering and Director of the PFW Systems Engineering Center, and Joseph Smith, Associate Director of Systems Engineering.
