July History Center Events<\/strong>
\nBusy July is ahead for The History Center<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Summer will be in full swing at the History Center beginning with its participation in the Three Rivers Festival opening on July 9.<\/p>\n

Three Rivers and Northern Indiana Train (TRAIN) model railroading exhibit will be back for another year with an HO scale, fully operational freight yard run by the TRAIN model railroad club. Regular museum admission applies.<\/p>\n

On July 10, the Barr Street Farmers Market opens at the corner of Barr and Wayne Streets. This Saturday morning event, in partnership with the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI) is one of the favorite farmers markets in Fort Wayne each summer.<\/p>\n

The market is open every Saturday rain or shine through September 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendor information is available by contacting YLNI at market@ylni.org<\/span>.<\/p>\n

In addition the public can tour The History Center at no charge during the market hours.<\/p>\n

Monday, July 12, the History Center and ARCH will lead you on a fascinating tour of Fort Wayne’s historical Lindenwood Cemetery. During Dearly Departed guests will meet in spirit, through first and third person interpretations, some of Fort Wayne’s most famous residents of yesteryear.<\/p>\n

The tour begins runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and is free to the public.<\/p>\n

July 13-15 is the annual Follow the Pipes self-guided tour of area churches and their pipe organs. Three churches will be featured each day with music, a brief history of those churches and a finale at the Embassy Theater featuring their pipe organ “Miss Page”.<\/p>\n

The free concerts are co-sponsored by The History Center and the American Guild of Organists. Persons attending must provide their own transportation from site to site. \u00c2\u00a0The schedule is:<\/p>\n
