Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control has received a Community Care Grant investment from Banfield Foundation in support of their lifesaving work in the community of Fort Wayne, Indiana.<\/p>\n

Banfield Foundation invests in Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control to help improve the lives of pets in Fort Wayne, Indiana<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, IN (October 22, 2025) \u2013 Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control (FWACC) has received a Community Care Grant investment from Banfield Foundation in support of their lifesaving work in the community of Fort Wayne, Indiana. With funding from the grant award, animal control officers will be able to assist pet owners in the community with flea and tick prevention for pet and household treatment. Assistance will be provided based on need, through animal control officers in the community. Officers will educate pet owners on how to use the products.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you are out in the community and meeting pet owners who are struggling to keep their animals protected from fleas and ticks, you want to do more than just educate. Thanks to the Community Care Grant from Banfield Foundation, we can now provide topical and home products to help eliminate the issue for those households and pets\u201d, says Animal Care Officer and Field Coordinator, M. Steadman.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control does all they can to keep pets in their loving homes and out of the shelter. That includes assisting pet owners at times who are going through a rough patch. Banfield Foundations grant will provide 210 animals\/households with much needed relief from fleas and ticks. Other community resources such as where to find low-cost wellness care, low-cost spay\/neuter, pet food assistance, and behavioral help can be located on the website at fwacc.org under community resources.<\/p>\n
