Mayor Henry proclaims today as Bud and Jean Mendenhall Day in the City of Fort Wayne<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 10, 2019) \u2013 Mayor Tom Henry today welcomed Bud and Jean Mendenhall as guests to the Mayor\u2019s office and proclaimed Thursday, Jan. 10 as Bud and Jean Mendenhall Day in the City of Fort Wayne.<\/p>\n

The Mendenhall\u2019s have been neighborhood leaders and community advocates for more than 30 years. They recently announced their retirement from leadership with the Bloomingdale Neighborhood Association.<\/p>\n

\u201cBud and Jean are wonderful people, and we\u2019re so appreciative of their commitment and dedication to neighborhoods, community involvement and the well-being of all residents,\u201d said Mayor Henry. \u201cConnectivity to trails, the new Franklin School Park, improvements along the Wells Street corridor, investments in neighborhood infrastructure and riverfront development are just a few of the projects the Mendenhall\u2019s have been involved with to improve the quality of life in our community. Their leadership and volunteerism have been instrumental in Fort Wayne becoming a point of destination city.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Mendenhall\u2019s were joined by family members, friends, elected officials and City of Fort Wayne employees for the special recognition ceremony.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
