Trump joined Administration officials to announce major progress in understanding the root causes of autism, which has exploded in diagnoses over the past two decades, and unveil <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/press-room\/hhs-trump-kennedy-autism-initiatives-leucovorin-tylenol-research-2025.html\" target=\"_blank\">bold new initiatives<\/a> to tackle the autism epidemic.<\/p>\n<p>Predictably, the Fake News immediately went into frenzied hyperventilation with their usual smears, distortions, and lies.<\/p>\n<p>FACT: Evidence suggests acetaminophen use in pregnant women, especially late in pregnancy, may cause long-term neurological effects in their children.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Large-scale cohort studies \u2014 including the <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/30923825\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nurses\u2019 Health Study II<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/31664451\/\" target=\"_blank\">Boston Birth Cohort<\/a> \u2014 report associations between in utero exposure and later diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit\/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).<\/li>\n<li>Scientists have <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/35450103\/\" target=\"_blank\">proposed<\/a> biological mechanisms linking prenatal acetaminophen exposure to altered brain development and adverse birth outcomes.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapidResponse47\/status\/1970231872715415784\" target=\"_blank\">Andrea Baccarelli, M.D., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty, Harvard T.H.
