Costco gift, staff donation to provide supplies for students<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 12, 2025) – Thanks to a generous donation from Costco and the commitment of FWCS employees to support our students, 380 backpacks will be filled with school supplies and distributed to students.<\/p>\n

FWCS staff members participate in the Friday Jeans Day fundraiser throughout the year by making voluntary donations in exchange for wearing jeans to work, and these collective contributions will purchase the school supplies to fill each backpack donated by Costco.<\/p>\n

Volunteers will fill the backpacks from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at the Wendy Y. Robinson Family and Community Engagement Center, 230 E. Douglas St. Each elementary school will receive 10 backpacks for students who need assistance, while remaining backpacks will be kept at FACE for schools to request as needed. Families in need of support should contact their child\u2019s school for resources.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
