Fort Wayne Philharmonic Announces Farewell Era for Music Director Andrew Constantine, Celebrating 18 Years of Artistic Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 11, 2025) \u2014 The Fort Wayne Philharmonic announces that Andrew Constantine, beloved Music Director since 2009, has entered the final two years of his current contract with the orchestra. Signed in 2024 as a three-year extension, this agreement represents a defining moment for both Constantine and the Philharmonic: a triumphant celebration of nearly 20 years of extraordinary artistic leadership, and the exciting promise of the seasons still to come.<\/p>\n

Constantine\u2019s grand finale is not just a conclusion, it is a culmination. A capstone to a legacy that has transformed the Philharmonic into a nationally recognized ensemble, this period will be marked by bold programming, artistic excellence, and meaningful tributes to a tenure that has shaped the cultural fabric of Northeast Indiana.<\/p>\n

Since his appointment following an international search in 2009, Constantine has elevated the Philharmonic\u2019s artistic profile through visionary programming and passionate community engagement. Milestone initiatives such as the \u201cMade in America\u201d season, \u201cComposer: REVEALED\u201d series, and the powerful Violins of Hope collaboration have fostered deep community connections and affirmed music\u2019s role as a force for unity and transformation.<\/p>\n

Constantine\u2019s impact extends far beyond the concert stage. Under his leadership, the Philharmonic launched its first commercial recording in 2018 and established the International Conductors\u2019 Workshop in 2015, drawing talent and attention from around the world.
